Re: LAMISIL DIARIES UPDATED! 4/23/03

I completed my Lamisil prescription in October 2002 and my nails are now completely clear. I couldn't be happier.  I lived with this for about 10 years and finally decided to do something about it. I did experience some gastro symptoms while I was on the drug, nothing major, some mild stomach cramps and constipation. However my dermatoligist doesn't think that the medicine had anything to do with it. He thinks that is was  caused by stress over some things going on in my personal life. I am trying to convince my fiance into taking the medicine. She is a beautiful woman who loves the outdoors and going barefoot and I know this condition has bothered her for years. Good Luck to all that
are using it and for those of you that are not, have the courage to go for it!

Re: LAMISIL DIARIES UPDATED! 4/23/03

Birdman, did you have one lamisil tablet per day and for three months? This is what my doctor asked me to take. I only have two big toe nail infection and the root of the nail seems clear. I am wondering whether it is too strong for me to take it every day for 3 monthes.

Re: LAMISIL DIARIES UPDATED! 4/23/03

My doctor had me take a blood test first, I guess to check for liver or kidney problems. When that was done he prescribed 6 weeks supply of Lamisil, one per day. When complete
he wanted to see me again and take another blood test, but after 6 weeks my nails were nearly clear so I didn't go back and didn't need to. He would have prescribed another 6 weeks but I didn't see the need. Hope this helpd.

Oops, my sight is messd up.  I'll try and get it back up and running by the end of next week.  That's my spring break so I'll have some free time to update it and fix it too!

Thanks all for looking and lets try and spread as much info about our experiences as possible...

Reading with eagerness your diary.  But it stops abruptly.  What happened?
