Hit an the head by an air conditioner

I was hit on the head by an air conditioner  that fell from the 5th floor of a building.  Should I file claims with the owner of the building, the air conditioner company, or both?

Re: Hit an the head by an air conditioner

Goodness!  Thank God you are ok, I hope!  What happened?  I mean, it just fell by itself from the building?  How's your head?  Hospitalized?  Did you seek an attorney yet?  I sure would!  Did you check with these attorneys to see if they would handle it?  I would think, the owner of the building, they should have inspections (just like that outside balcony fell with all those people on it, overloaded) but I'm no attorney.  How long ago did this happen?  You should check right into that!  Let us know how you are doing!  And furthermore, that building may have other loose air conditioners or equipment!  Good luck!

Re: Hit an the head by an air conditioner

Well, I am recovering slowly... have been off work for a few weeks, and the headaches are subsiding, but the brain confusion still lingers.

The air conditioner fell from a 5th floor window as they were installing it, according to the police report.  I have found an attorney, but I am not so sure that I am pleased with him.  Any suggestions for a GOOD professional attorney?
