Neurontin, which is known generically as Gabapentin, may be linked to suicide and suicide attempts. Neurontin is prescribed for epilepsy but has been prescribed for numerous off label uses. Neurontin was approved for sale in the mid-1990s as a treatment for epileptic seizures. However, it is believed that approximately 80 percent of all Neurontin prescriptions were filled for unapproved medical conditions.

If you or a loved one was injured by Neurontin, please complete the free case inquiry form on the right side of this page.

Neurontin has been a life saver in my life...

Since I have been on Neurontin, my quality of life has greatly improved. I was diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorder in 1987. I was put on Lithium around 1987 until about 2000 when I was switched to Neurontin. When I was taking Lithium, I had numerous suicide attempts. Since being on Neurontin, I have had none. What a difference it made in my life! My life is much more stable. It has saved my life. I am sorry for the problems it has caused others. I hope these lawsuits will not impair the company so much that they will no longer be able to produce the drug for all of us that it HAS helped.
