Neurontin, which is known generically as Gabapentin, may be linked to suicide and suicide attempts. Neurontin is prescribed for epilepsy but has been prescribed for numerous off label uses. Neurontin was approved for sale in the mid-1990s as a treatment for epileptic seizures. However, it is believed that approximately 80 percent of all Neurontin prescriptions were filled for unapproved medical conditions.

If you or a loved one was injured by Neurontin, please complete the free case inquiry form on the right side of this page.

Neurontin has SAVED my life...

I just wanted to share my extrememly positive experience with Neurontin.  It has LITERALLY  saved my life.  I have tumors in my spinal cord (within the spinal canal) and the only symptom of this horrid disease is PAIN.  My disease has no treatment, no cure - its a genetic mutation in my chromosome that causes the tumors to form .  The only "treatment" is spinal surgeries, as required, to remove the largest of the tumors before they permenantly damage any nerves in the spinal canal. And then I just grow more...

Before Neurontin, I was in severe pain and quickly nearing the point of being bed-ridden.  I was prescribed Neurontin and my life is almost back to normal - not pain-free, but pretty good.  Neurontin allows me to live a fairly normal life and enjoy the things I couldn't.  I take over 2400 mg a day and yes, experience some of the Neurontin side effects, including short term memory loss and sleepiness.  But the sleepiness subsides and the memory loss is sporatic.

For me Neurontin is truly a God-send.  I'm sorry for those of you who have experienced the awful side of this medication - its truly horrible.  It seems to be a kind of "Jekyl & Hyde" medication....   But it does work for many - and, in the case of Neurontin - if it works, it really works well.  What scares me most is that a lawsuit like this may remove this life-saving drug from the market....  then what do folks like me do?
