 My 17 years old son was diagnosed Biploar 4 months ago and was put on Seraqel. The only change I see is that he can actually sleep at night. He still has the same mood swings/ highs/ lows/ temper/he's not as sharp, he is having a hard time doing school work and focusing in a normal converstion. He doesn't follow directions well, he is still paranoid and even accuses me, his mother of trying to sabotage him. His anger is very scary, sometimes I lock my dogs in my bedroom with me for fear he will harm us in our sleep. He lies OMG how he lies. He will deny deny deny and then accuse me of doing the thing I have caught him doing and even tell me I am hallucinating and he really believes himself. I am so scared for him but at time I am more scared of him. [/url][/b]
I dont know if you aware of this but this medicine is not FDA approved for the use of anyone under 18. I am not a medical person simply doing research and the only reason I know anything about this drug is because I saw a new doctor yesterday who tried giving me this for Effexor withdrawl symptoms!
Do your research this drug has a LOT of side affects. I myself will not be picking up that perscription that was called in! Just go to your search engine and type in Seroquel and it will pull a lot of info for you. Also new post talking about this drug causing diabetis in many patients!
I have children and there is no way I'd put them on this poision. Dont let them destroy your child. In my opinion doctors are nothing more than legalized drug pushers who cant be trusted. Good luck to you and your son.

I think you shouldn't give you kid this drunk I am an eighteen year old who took this seroquel
I took seroquel for about a year for manic depression disorder
When I was on it sometimes I saw things and heard things that were not there, like distorted images of people, I heard sounds and noices, loud banging on walls and doors
I would stutter and slur my words and couldn't focus at all
This medication I think does nothing at all but mess with your mind in only bad ways
I have been off it for about 3 months and I have never felt better in my whole life
