My son was concieved 6 months or so after being off of Accutane (supposedly safe amount of time) He was a surviving twin (the other twin I miscarried 4 months in but had to carry both to term). When he was born he had Persistant pumlonary hypertension and almost died. 4 months into life he was diagnosed with brain damage from his brain not forming correctly in utero. He has Autism, Add, is developmentally behind, mild cerebral palsey etc. I was 25 when he was born, and that was after being on my second round of Accutane. 10 years later my daughter was born ( I was terrified to have another child, with worries that Accutane did this & caused long term effects ) My daughter is almost 2 now & showing signs of Autism and not talking. When my son was born I read just about every message board out there in regards to Accutane. I do remember reading somewhere about Accutane altering genetic makeup & people having children years later with birth defects. I wish I could find that message board again. So I STRONGLY believe Accutane played a role somehow in the development of my children.
