Looking for any info on possible increase in violent behavior problems. Found problems w/suicide...but what about extreme violent behavior when there was none prior.

Re: celexa

I think it's possible to have the reaction you speak of from any oe of the anti depressants.

I took welbutrin for a short time.     I had lost my job and we were having finacial problems and I went on welbutrin.    It did lift the depression but it made me feel angry and hostle.

I stopped when my son told me it was making me act short tempered.

My Dr told me to try another, as sometimes one drug will have that effect but another wont.

We had a family man in our town who was taking paxil, he had a new born baby, he had violent rages while on the med and eventually killed his son who was 3 1/2 months old.

Attorneys said it was the drug that caused his behavior and eventually lead him to kill his child.

So my suggestion would be to try another anti depressant.

Hugs
Gillian
