clean up useless posts

I suggest someone to clean up/delete some of the posts in these forums that make no sense, like counting and taking up space, it makes us read more than what we have to.   :x  Take for instance all the posts in Phen Phen, or Ephedrine, I try to read some of them, and there r so many, but who wants to read and go through the garbage to get to the real information?
This would be most helpful, thank you if u can!  smile

Re: clean up useless posts

Hi

I'm new here to BB'ing (just a baby) but I have enjoyed reading all the post even the "counting" one I think I read all 400 of them. I laughed so hard and really needed to. I think all the post weather they have real important info. or not, still have a purpose. Even if it was only to cheer someone up. Well anyway just a thought. I know for sure I wish I could just hit a button and the parts of my history I don't like could just be erased, but such as life it all has a purpose.  Oh, I just came up with a suggestion too.

I suggest ( or wish) that there was a spell checker + grammer button. ( I not so goood.)

OK well bye all

Re: clean up useless posts

I, for one, would like to see new categories within the Phen-fen forum. I would suggest:

Creativity and chit-chat: Post here for shmoozing, greetings, Quote of the day, and other creative pursuits (Like Counting!).

Proposed 7th Amendment: Discussion on whether it should pass, how it would effect you, and options for action.

Phen-fen side effects: Health issues relating to the injestion of the diet drugs.

Issues with the Settlement Trust: Is it broke yet? Why is it taking so long?

Of course, I realize the problem with this idea --- this bunch of posters is very undisciplined (and I mean that in the nicest way possible  roll ) and that means a very active and iron-fisted moderator would be needed to maintain order. I seriously doubt that Mr. Parker or KAO would have the time to devote to it, seeing that they already have thriving legal careers. And, I certainly don't want to do it (Hey, I'm a heart patient and the Doctor says to avoid stress wink ).

Can injurytalk.com afford the manpower to do this?

At any rate, a more acitve forum moderator would be very welcome. Some posters unfortunately engage in personal attacks against the other posters. We just about need a new sheriff to ride into town.

Re: clean up useless posts

Scherzo,

Great ideas.

Also, a spellchecker has long been on my want list.

Re: clean up useless posts

i guess i can agree with that, sometimes we tend to get off the beaten path, but we mean well.
Since it is about phenfen  i guess that we do need to stay close to the issues at hand..
I guess if i was a newbee i certainly would be  confused.. wink PS maybe we can also recheck our spelling before submitting..

Re: clean up useless posts

I guess we could get rid of the counting thread because it is rather silly but it is fun to answer at times.  We don't always stay on topic but I find it such a nice, warm, welcome place to come to and I would hate to lose that.  If we were to divide the different topics within the fenPhen board, it would lose a little something that it has now.
