Serzone or Nefazodone

After reading all of the horror stories about Serzone, I need to know if any of yal are taking the generic form, nefazodone, and is it just as bad?

Since I just got a prescription filled for 250 mg nefazodone last week, am I to assume that the generic form hasn't been taken off the market?

Altho I am suffering from major depression, I have gone down the Paxil and Effexor route but I am refusing to become one of these commercials on TV, so I weaned myself off of both.  My new doc, a psychologist, relayed to me that he was prescibed Serzone over 35 years ago for depression and has taken it every day since to balance out chemicals that were causing the problems.  After one dose last night, dizziness was the only side effect that I have felt today.

I see my doctor again tomorrow and am interested in telling him about the recall and all of the problems some of you have had with this drug.

I dont think your doctor was telling the truth. Serzone was only approved by the FDA in 1994. I was not even around 25 years ago.
