Hi all, This morning my best friend found his 56 year old mother dead. She had been taking Vioxx for over 4 years and just recently stopped when they removed it from the drug stores. We truly think there is a connection as she had been in good health apart from chronic low back pain. My friend and his family are as good as can be expected and we are looking for guidance from people who have been in similar circumstances...Thank You for your time and any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank You again!

My husband passed away of a sudden heart attack on Dec. 11th 2004, it was his birthday. It is believed that his heart attack was a result from taking vioxx. He was taking for 5 months and stopped when he finished his last prescription which was filled on Sept. 11th. I am suffering from a great loss and a traumatic shock my husband and I were married for 23 years I married him when I just turned 17. He was healthy and seeing the doctor on a regular basis for check ups. He had arthritis is his shoulder that is why he was taking the vioxx.

Hello, I am a writer and would like to speak to someone who is involved in or planning a product liability suit against Merck for Vioxx. I am particularly interested in an instance in which someone under 60 died of an unexpected (no history of diabetes or high blood pressure/other key risk factors) heart attack. You can google my name to see my work and you can contact me at jeanne.lenzer@gmail.com
thank you.

just curious. Other than my back I had no health problems, until I turned 28. Now thanks to Tachycardia I have to take a pill everyday. I have no interest in talking to anyone, just keep seeing Merck say it was people who were old or high risk. Well I'm young, skinny, active, and have never had heart problems. Now I take a damn pill everyday to slow my heart down. Nice to see that they put patients first. huh?
