Job Loss and Effexor

Has anyone ever lost there job due to emotional, unthought through, comments to a boss that you may not remember later?  I had a job for almost 10 years and one day just went off.  They said I cussed at my advisor but I do not remember it.  When I was told I could come back to work they also told me I would be in another department that works a lot of over time.
That wouldn't have bothered me in the past but I was prescribed EFFEXOR for Fibromialgia last fall.  I don't see that it has helped at all.  I am tired all the time just like before I took it and still hurt in my arms and legs.  I had FMLA paperwork on file with the factory I worked at which was open FMLA.  This meant that I could miss work whenever I felt bad.  Now, I'm not one to call in just cause I feel bad and that was evident when my husband, who also worked there, wanted me to go home several times cause I was popping pain pills.
When I told them that I could not transfer to that department because "I could not medically work that much overtime!"  I was told, and I quote, "Then you just terminated you employment."
I was able to beat the company at the unemployment hearing and receive my benefits.  But that has ran out and I am having trouble getting a new job.
I don't know what to do now.  If you have had a similar problem or have any suggestions PLEASE reply to this.
