My 13 year old son has been on Zyprexa for a bit now. He takes 20 mg at night before he goes to bed. I have heard about the diabetes scare and I am worried. Has anyone else had their child on this medication? He complains of thirst, hungry, his eyes, just to name a few.

Yes. i've been on it for 3 years now. I just went online to contact a lawyer to see weather I should get off of it or not.

My 11 year old son was on Zyprexa for about 6 months. He gained 50 lbs reaching nearly 200lbs. He now has the beginning stages of diabetes. We are not sure if it was caused by the drug or the significant weight gain. At any rate, I took him off of the Drug.

My son also took zyprexa from 1997-2002. In 2000 he developed diabetes, and in 2002 he died from complications of diabetes. He was 27 yrs old. Get your kids off this drug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
