I also had a bad cytotec experience. My doctor, who delivered my previous 2 babies naturally gave me cytotec to induce my labor. I was healthy, the baby was healthy and she was induced 7 days early for no reason other than the fact that I had been dizzy. My blood pressure was fine, I was not diabetic and the baby was healthy and at normal weight. Anyway, she was born really quick, I only pushed once and she came out, shortly after the nurse realized something wasn't right and called the dr, by this time I was fading in and out of consciousness. I was bleeding severely from a uterine rupture, she was packing my uterus as fast as she could but the bleeding didn't stop. I was rushed to emergency surgery and nearly died. I had an emergency hysterectomy. She said she had never come so close to losing someone. She blamed my uterus being so unhealthy on my diet!!(she said it ran through her fingers like mush) I have contacted an attorney and was told I didn't have a case because a dr can use a drug he or she feels is appropriate and it didn't matter that it isn't approved by the FDA, if it works she can use it. Shouldn't the fact that I had to have a hysterectomy at 36 and 2 blood transfusions, infection, missed work and extra time in the hospital matter?? Not to mention the fact that I now have a huge, ugly, crooked scar down my stomach. Has anyone ever fought against this drug and won? Does anyone know how to go about finding a lawyer that cares?
