I have a 26-year old son, who was diagnosed with schizoprhrenia at age 19/ He's been on Zyprexa for several years now and has had liver failure, his gall bladder removed and has gained 70 pounds that doesn't seem to go away. I'm now worried about diabetes. Are these doctors even considering the risks when they prescribe these drugs?

hi my name is virginia and i have a son and he took zyprexa and it really did mess up his system along with seroquel and risperdal. the mood swings are horrible and the blood sugar elevates so badly until people have abused my son because they didn't understand his condition and also he has been banned from stores because of the episodes with diabetes. there is times when he stays up for 3 days and night at a time and constantly hollering and screaming being in a dementia state. his weight gain shot up to about 100lbs. or more. he was still taking zyprexa when a lot of people was off of it and knew about the horrors of it when we didn't every day his life and mines is not the same because of his condition. is there anyone else experiencing side effects like these?
