Simvastatin has ruined my life and destroyed me financially

I had been taking this generic form of Zocor for 3 years.  Just over 6 months ago I began experiencing severe pain throughout my legs, back and into my arms.  Test after test showed absolutly nothing was wrong.  Yet day after day I was getting worse.  I spent our family vacation to Disney in a wheel chair because I couldn't walk.  I found a web site that explained the hidden severe side affects of this drug.  I was scared into stopping the medication immediately.  After talking with my primary care, he said that it was possible this was the cause.  Weeks have gone by since I stopped taking this drug, I am slowly getting back to my normal self, but I am still in daily pain related to the side affects.  There are good days and bad days, my biggest problem I have now is the mounting mountain of medical bills as a result of the tons of tests I was put through looking for the reason why I was going through so much pain.

I now am walking with a cane and working as best as humanly possible.  I can tell that things are slowly getting better but no one can tell me how long this is going to last.  My family has been devistated by a drug that was supposed to be saving my life.  My doctor claims he has never seen such a severe case of this kind of reaction.  If there is anyone out there who can help me, please... I have been looking here for someone in IL to help me, and no one knows anything.  I have asked for a review at Mayo and am waiting to hear back.  Please help... in constant pain and taking morphine 2 times a day and need to know if this will go away or to find out how to make it go away.
