MY 22 YEAR OLD COUSIN COMMITTED SUICIDE TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2005 AFTER HAVING TAKEN CYMBALTA FOR ABOUT 6 WEEKS. SHE WAS FIRST PRESCRIBED ZANTAC AND ANOTHER MEDICATION FOR ULCERS. WITH THE COMBINATION OF THE TWO, SHE STARTED TO HAVE PROBLEMS CONTROLLING ANGER, SO SHE WAS PRESCRIBED CYMBALTA TO COUNTERACT THESE EFFECTS. AFTER HER DEATH, I TYPED IN THE WORD CYMBALTA, AND IT TOOK ME TWO SECONDS TO LEARN THAT THERE WERE 13 SUICIDES COMMITTED DURING CLINICAL TRIALS. THE FDA AND ELI LILLY VIOLATED THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT AND HID THIS INFORMATION FROM THE PUBLIC. HOW COULD A MEDICATION WITH THAT KIND OF TRIAL RUN EVER BE PUT ON THE MARKET? MOST OF THE PATIENTS WHO COMMITTED SUICIDE HAD NO DEPRESSION, ANXIETY OR PSYCHOLOGICAL DISORDERS. SOME WERE TAKING CYMBALTA FOR URINARY INCONTINENCE. IF YOU HAVE HAD ANY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE WITH CYMBALTA, PLEASE POST IT HERE.

I have been taking Cymbalta for a little over a year now and have been having what's called sleep paralysis for about the same time. Not sure if this is the cause, but I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this while taking Cymbalta. Thanks, Donna

I have been taking Cymbalta 60 for about 6 weeks when I started having allergic reaction to it, or side effects. I looked it up at Internet and found that many of the feelings I was having may have been caused by it. My depression was getting worse, I was getting panic attacks, suicidal thoughts and even preparations for it to happen, could not control anger or emotions, obsessive thoughts. I thought it was all I have been going through lately but due to the side effects I tried to taper off its use with no luck. My adverse reactions would get worse no matter how little I took - itching, difficulty in breathing, diarrhea, dilated pupil, etc. As I am a vegetarian and I am not taking any other drug I could only point to Cymbalta. Now I am afraid that I have had to stop it cold turkey and of its consequences. I hope that being conscienctious of it helps me.

was prescribed cymbalta to help with chronic back pain along with other pain meds. two times about 4 to 6 weeks after starting this treatment i tried to commit suicide while sleepwalking i dont remember how i got to the garage hooked a hose to the exhaust ran it in the window and started the car thank god the car ran out of gas. also sleep paralysis i think could you explain

my husband is on cymbalta. and many drugs. nerontin, flexril, cymbalta, fentanyl patch, duildud, ambein, He has been having these strange behaviors, dont know which one is causing it. His pain doctor took him off cymbalta and valuim without tapering him off . was on these for almost 3 years. he had a seizure, seeing and hearing our neighbors ( as i dont see or even hear them) he gets very aggressive with me, says things that are very mean. This isnt him. and the doc told him to eat more veg and fruits. out the door he went.My husband feel this is real going on. that they are after him, and shooting him with a radar gun, and BB gun to our home. the police has been called, and my husband was taken to mental health for 4 days. horrible place, and he didnt need to be there. i cant seem to get any help or answers. any thing i will listen.

Hi, I am taking cymbalta, neurotin, naproxin, and and trazadone combined to treat fibromyalgia. Lately, I have been sinking deeper into depression, and seem to have developed this hate for people as a whole. I was an outgoing person who loved people, and I feel that these drugs may have some effect on me that changed who I am. Lately, I have been blacking out also and cannot recall phone calls. My nightmares and sweats are increasing. Has anyone experienced this on these drugs?
