Has anyone had a problem with Plavix? My Mom was on it and developed serious problems after a heart cath and died. I'd like to hear from anyone who has had a problem. I'm not able to get any info from her doctors. Another member of my family has been put on it and I am afraid for her.

My mom is a dialysis patient and she was given the drug Plavix on 11/07, in her case as a blood thinner, she had bad results from it. In 4/08 she began to get lumps under her skin and the lumps were hard, painful and around the lumps, her skin was very much discolored as if she bumped herself or fell and bruised her body.
They were all over, on her arms legs and thighs, when she began to complain to her nephrologist, he asked her who prescribed the drug Plavix, and how long she had been on it. She was then told that she shouldn't of been given a RX for it because she was already taking heparin as a blood thinner for her dialysis treatments. Her new Dr. has taken her off the drug but she is still developing lumps and bruising.
