Cytotec

do they still use this drug to induce labor? I thought it was for gallbladder attacks or ulcer attacks.  Don't let your doctor give it to you.  You'll be sorry, believe me, I know.

Re: Cytotec

Hi,
I am writing in response to your ad. I am nurse in labor and delivery and yes, they do still use cytotec to induce labor even though it is not FDA approved. As a nurse, I find this hard to believe since it is not FDA approved and patients are not formally consented to this by their doctor. The main reason is because cytotec is a lot cheaper and I see cervidil used more on the private side as opposed to Kaiser who is very cost conscious and uses cytotec routinely. I hope to hear from you.
