heart attack

I began taking Vioxx in the summer of 1999.Then on Jan.7,2000 I had a heart attack, requiring 2 angioplasties with stents implanted in the arteries.Do you suppose that this could have been caused by the 6 or so months that I was on Vioxx. Thanks

Re: heart attack

Yes, I do believe that Vioxx caused your problems.  I started taking Vioxx on September 13, 2002 for a work related injury which was presribed by a company doctor.  I had severe swelling of the legs on the 20th, 21st, and the 22nd.  I didn't think much of it because it was not on the list of side effects.  On September 23,2002 I suffered a Ischemic Stroke and now have a bleeding blood vessel in my brain.  I had a seizure while at work, employees found me laying on the floor, turning blue, EMS was called and I was taken to the hospital, stayed in the ER the whole day (they even called a priest in for last rites), I don't remember much, just what was told to me by my husband.  My blood pressure dropped to 80/60, I had severe room spin (vertigo), dizziness, couldn't walk by myself for three days after this event, have muscle numbness on the right arm.  I lost my job (employer says they are afraid I will have another seizure), can't work any other job because of work restrictions, can't bend over, can't walk for long periods, can't sit for long periods, no safety related work, can't climb, and cant drive my own car.  So there you have it.  I am looking for a good attorney that will take this case very seriously.  Please e-mail me and we can talk futher.
