My husband had the surgery and he had a great doctor and great results.  My niece had the same surgery and terrible results.  She had an inexperienced dr and the post-op care was terrible.  She is 21 years old and is now permanently disabled.  She had an untreated vitamin diffeciency which caused permanent nerve and muscle damage in her legs.  She will never be able to walk on her own again.  The doctor now has 20 or so lawsuits against him.  One of his patients just died after 1 year of having the surgery due to complications and poor diet.  She was 31 years old.  All I can tell you is that you have to find the right doctor and the right Hospital.  Do not go to a doctor who does a one man opertion.  They are just in it for the money.  Go to a group of doctors specializing in the surgery and a Hospital with a staff dedicated to this type of surgery.
