MY NEIGHBOR HAS BEEN ON IT 4-5 YRS ONLY AND HAS MY LAWYER
I saw a brief ad on TV today for a number starting at 1-877 but I don't remember the rest for the lawyer thing. I am no longer on Nuerontin as of November 2003. I have short & long term memory problems even now. My hands still shake at times. I was originally put on Seizure medication in 1999. I was involved in an auto accident in November of 1997. Exactly 2 months later, I had a seizure in my sleep. Then I didn't experience another seizure for 1 1/2 years later. I went to see a neurologist and he put me on seizure medication at that time. Because of this, I now have Epilepsy because he put me on seizure medication which I found out that he never should have. Unfortunately, I have ever done anything about this because I don't know who or where to turn to. Can anybody tell me the number to call that was on TV and where I can get help for the above info if any. Thanx.  :-?

My six year old son was put on neurontin, then keppra, and now depekote. We found out by taking he to a new doctor that he over medicated. He has become very angry and not him self. No one really talks about this stuff. I am at the end of my rope.

My son has focal seizures and that is at night. No one would do a MRI until now. He has a cyct in his left side of the brain.

The doctors never told me about the mood changes. They told me he would be tired. I knew about the keppra but they said slightly.

Hi force1995! I found a website that compares all anticonvulsants. www.painrecoveryonline.com. I clicked onthe RSD/CRPS link, then I clicked on anticonvulsants. Up pops a screen and it breaks it down in to the years that the FDA approved these drugs by years--before 1993, 1993-1998, & after 1998. Choose which drug you want to look up and it displays all the anticonvulsants for that time frame w/ side affects etc. Hope this helps somewhat

Squirt: I too have the exact same situation. I have been seen by at least 5 doctors for my situation & have had 2 MRI's. They said that the cyst was because I had Spinal Meningitis when I was 3 yrs. old but I never had problems with seizures until after my auto accident in 1997 (see earlier post). I only have my seizures in my sleep. If I take a nap & forget my night pill from before, I will have a seizure. Anytime the night before, if I forget my medication, I have a seizure any time day or night the next day if I take a nap.
Skooze: Thank you very much for this information. I will ook over the website very carefully & thoroughly. Again thanks to everyone who has been responsive in this matter.

I just lost my 16 year old son Chris from a prescription drug overdose, because of Neurontin. He had been self mutilating himself ,with violent moodswings ever since the doctor started him on it. I just hope that his short life will inspire me to help others see the real evil Pfizer and the other drug companies are distributing!

The doctor has had me on neurontin for a long time to control pain from a nerve disease, only I tend to have more pain after taking it. I also have alot of the side effects:stabbingpain, numbness, sinus problems, eye blurring ect..... I am wandering if I am being treated for the right illness or what. If this medication is hurting me instead of helping me????
 I was prescribed Neurontin for severe leg pain, I have had three back surgeries, and have two implants in my back. My pain management Doctor prescribed it for me, telling me it would help reduce my pain. What it did was made me very depressed. I went on a cruise for my mothers 80th birthday, and almost jumped overboard because of the severe depression on was in> I also experienced terrible dizziness and lack of control over my legs they felt like they were going out from under me all the time. I also had trouble walking, I kept falling to the right or left when I would walk. Please let me know if anyone out there knows the name of the law firm who is handling a class action suit regarding the use of Neurontin. Thank you
I cannot believe what I am reading...I JUST went through hell for three weeks....now I see why...I had a bulging disc in my neck, diagnosed by a MRI....my Dr. prescribled Neurontin I took it and it did nothing for my pain so he double the dosage...I could barely function I just layed on my bed like a person in a vegetative state....still no relief from pain...then I began to have thoughts of death....and how to kill myself...I can' t believe this....I have never felt like this.....I told my Dr. and he wanted to Baker ACT me but my husband said he would watch me and take care of me...Dr. put me on antidepressants zoloft and zanax..stopped the neurontin for the pain....and gave me hydrocodone for pain....all thoughts of suicide are now gone....thank God. but what an ordeal....what awful thoughts I had.....this was hell for three weeks....I am just so so so thankful to find others that have had this experience....and its NOT ME..it was the drug.....whew......

 I was on the drug neurontin for about six months they prescribed it for my bi polar disorder. It did more worse then good me and my parents noticed traumatic changes in my mood I would snap at anyone and anything I even tried to commit suicide in my class room I have never even thought about doing it before let alone trying so today I heard on TV about the drug and what happened on dateline so I contacted a lawyer.
:-?
I have been on neurontin now for approx. 1 1/2 yrs prescribed for neuropathy. During this period I have attempted suicide 4 times . Twice
documented and once was actually clinically dead. Please if you are on this medication quit taking it
I have been on Neurontin for about 4 years. It was prescribed to me as a mood stabilizer for my BiPolar. This drug has slowly ruined my life. And now to find all this new information out about the kickbacks and prescribing for the wrong ailments has me extremely upset.
I have contacted online websites regarding the matter of the lawsuit. Just wondering if there is a website where I could file my own complaint through the drug company or if there is a trust set up for this yet ( as I did with the Phen Fen nightmare) rather than getting/paying a lawyer and doing all the paperwork myself?
My heart goes out to you all that have been or are still living in hell with Neurontin.
