Neurontin, which is known generically as Gabapentin, may be linked to suicide and suicide attempts. Neurontin is prescribed for epilepsy but has been prescribed for numerous off label uses. Neurontin was approved for sale in the mid-1990s as a treatment for epileptic seizures. However, it is believed that approximately 80 percent of all Neurontin prescriptions were filled for unapproved medical conditions.

I was just perscribed Neurontin not 30 Mins Ago Advice Plz

Hello All

I am glad to see all the posts but at the same time I am a little standoffish about taking Neurontin for pain (after a severe accident) I was just perscribed Neurontin and desperately want relief but at what cost?

Has there been any successes when using Neurontin for pain? Should I bother even to try this medicine?

Visiting this site for the first time I'm suprised at this drug being used for pain. 

I take it for manic depression along with Effexor and others, it really helps my moods stay at an even keel.
