Risperdal (again)

Hello everyone,

I was put on risperdal, and don't really understand "why", since I'm not bipolar and don't have schizophrenia. I have social anxiety disorder, panic attacks and deep depression.
I've been on it for a couple of days. Haven't noticed any changes, except that  I am very sleepy. I would like to know more about other's experiences with this drug and about side effects they have suffered with.

Thank you.

Re: Risperdal (again)

Hi there, I've been on risperdal for about 10 years for schizophrenia. Its worked great and I'm symptom free, but I've been getting headaches for a couple of years. Almost as bad as a migraine, but not quite. Feels like my blood pressure is up in my head; not just sinus buildup. Checked my BP and its normal. Has anybody else experienced simmilar conditions and is on risperdal? Oh yeah, the headaches last for days to weeks at a time and advil doesn't bring any improvements.

Re: Risperdal (again)

HELP!
Risperdal really messed me up in a big way. After almost three years of taking it, I found out I wasn't supposed to be on it.
According to my (original) doctor 12 years prior and of a former place of residence, (he) stated that in no way should I have been given Risperdal. It made me go (temporarily) psychotic. The side-effects were unbelievable and were too numerous to even mention here. The treating physician now has many bad reviews on the net. He even made me take more when I complained of the problems I was enduring. Now that I am completley off this stuff, I can think back a little bit more each day as to how horrible and weird my life was. Does anybody else have any living nightmares or pertinent info from taking Risperdal they would like to share?

I can't believe what Risperdal did to me!

Please help with your information as I am trying to get my life back ...

Thank You
