Hello all. I was recently prescribed Enbrel for psoriasis and arthritis. Just in the last week or two I have been in extreme pain in my joints and limbs and have been waking up in the middle of the night in tears. I can still hold onto to things and move but a lot of times my limbs go numb. It seems that the arthritis is worse when the weather is cold. It just got cold where I live and the pain is a lot worse than last year. I originally went to the Dr. For treatment of the psoriasis under my nails, however it seems the corresponding pain and the cold weather made this decision more difficult. I am worried about taking the Enbrel because I am only 29 years old and about 6 months ago I stopped taking birth control so maybe my husband and I could have a second child. I am concerned about taking the Enbrel for the side effects and there is nothing about Enbrel and pregnancy that I can find. (no studies) I don't want to harm a potential child. I don't know if I want to go back on the pill just so I can take the Enbrel. And for how long will need to do that...
Any comments would be greatly appreciate regarding short term and long term side effects, how well the drug has worked for you, and if pregnancy was in your situation.
