FDA hearings on safety and efficacy of ADHD drugs

I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about the FDA hearings in DC coming up Feb 9-10 about the side effects of ADHD medications. Thanks.

Re: FDA hearings on safety and efficacy of ADHD drugs

I attended and spoke at both hearings.  At the first hearing, the Drug Safety Advisory Committee voted 8-7 to recommend a black box warning on all the ADHD drugs.  At the second hearing, this was voted down. The FDA plans to do nothing, though they were encouraged to develop material for parents and doctors that told of the risks as well as the benefits (risks include heart attacks, hallucinations, psychosis, suicide, etc.)  Benefits include compliant boys with growth problems.
