Leg and feet numbness Plus..

I recently went through a series of 3 infusions. While waiting for the fourth I experienced edema
in my feet and legs. It has now been 3 months since last infusion and still stuck with club feet.
I can barely feel gas pedal and brake. I am lucky to keep balance in the shower.

Last year I did Remicade and had a sore wrist. Then I woke up the next day with every joint in
my body was inflamed. Prednisone for a week cured me-haha.

I was informed that since my last infusion stopped in 2000,that my bady had developed antibodies to Remicade.
Funny how the gastro's and the patient info packet makes no mention of this.

So I am now stuck with feet I can't feel. Slinking around at 46.

Beware.

Re: Leg and feet numbness Plus..

I would suggest you go the Medline web site and put in key words relating to your problem.  You should be able to find abstracts to articles which can help you:

Good luck, Harold Boxenbaum, Ph.D.

P.S. Also do a google search with key words including patient package insert

Hi Jim,
I, too, recieved infusions of Remicade for crohn's disease. I did not handle the infusions very well. About 2 days after each infusion, I would get bad flu-like symptoms. Every joint in my body hurt, even touching the hair on my head was painful. After the 4th infusion, I suffered an acute thalamic stroke. I now have right side numbness on my face, hand and leg. So...no more Remicade and no Humira either.  This wasn't supposed to happen to me at 47 years old.
