HELP!!

My mother had been taking Lotronex for irritable bowel syndrome and she kept getting worse.  The next thingk I knew she was in the hospital with an obtruction in her bowels and she needed surgery! The doctor would'nt say so one way or the other, but I read that this could have been caused by Lotronex.  Is this true?  Has anyone else experienced this?
