Celebrex, Bextra...what next??

Hi all, I took Vioxx first for a couple of months with no results. I was put on Celebrex 200mg twice daily and took that for several years. Then........I was changed to Bextra...........no heart attacks or blood clots, but I have had several episodes of chest pains, high blood pressure....thinking I was dying and even a trip to the ER from work.....at the hospital where I work.

I'm just worried that having taken all this medication for my pain, I will fall victim to a heart attack or develope high blood pressure. It is usually low, but on a couple of times to the MD, it was up.

Any comments???

Re: Celebrex, Bextra...what next??

i started celebrex in good faith 10/01 because i have hemophilia.  i took it for 2.5 years.  i took 200mg twice a day.   in august 03, before my hip replacement, i had a pre surgery physical and my doc noted ekg changes an did some lab tests and an echo.  after surgery the palpitations and chest discomfort started.  in may of this year i had palpitations so bad i went the er with chest pain and shortness of breath.  2 days later i had a 24 hour halter monitor placed in which i threw over  1100 pvc's including couplets and small runs of v-tach.  then i had a stress test which showed lots of pvc's.  after all of this i still have palpitations and fear of having a heart attack.   i even stopped exercising because of these fears.
