Neurontin, which is known generically as Gabapentin, may be linked to suicide and suicide attempts. Neurontin is prescribed for epilepsy but has been prescribed for numerous off label uses. Neurontin was approved for sale in the mid-1990s as a treatment for epileptic seizures. However, it is believed that approximately 80 percent of all Neurontin prescriptions were filled for unapproved medical conditions.

neurontin

hello, i need help my husband committed suiside on feb 4 2005, he was being treated for chronic pain for 4 years he was on neurontin,oxycontin(codone),Vioxx,cyclobrenzaprine(spelling),zoloft, he is still in the hospital not expected to make it through the week what do i do

Sorry to hear about what has happened! I am new here or I would have responed sooner.  I have went throught this same thing with the same meds except it was me in the hospital in a coma putting my family through it taking the same meds.

Is he awake and coherent? Was it from OD? All you can do for him now is spend as much time with him as you’s can. One of my sisters asked me to give you her email address also, she has went through this when they told my family I was not going to come out of the coma, AsylumRancher1@aol.com her name is Michele. I always though the others meds, especialy the morphines were what made to loose reality till I recently found out about the nurontin problems. I have attny info of class action lawsuite’s for this type of thing against these drugs. I will be glad to tell you more if you like.
